REFERRAL PARTNERS
What is a referral partner and why are they important?
A referral partner is an individual or company that offers a service that is outside the scope of service offered by Estate Transition Services LLC.

We work solely on behalf of our clients, and a critical component of the work we do with our clients is identifying both what we can do and, perhaps most importantly, what we cannot do.
​
Examples of referral partners are vast, and may include licensed attorneys, accountants, wealth advisors, and insurance brokers, or home health care, assisted living or nursing care facilities, and other medical or personal care support, or professional movers and home stagers, or property repair professionals, or florists, caterers, end of life counselors or funeral planning professionals, among many others.

Take for example, home repairs, often clients have lived in homes that have fallen into disrepair and need work done either to make it safe and livable, up to code, or to prepare it for sale or rent or other. We are not equipped or qualified to perform this kind of work.
​
Our service is point of contact on behalf of our client, making the calls, finding suitable contractors, and matriculating through all remaining phases of the work.
We prioritize service professionals that our clients have developed a relationship with, but sometimes those do not work out either
because they may be difficult to get ahold of, out of business, booked up, or may present a work glide path and/or cost estimate that may not be agreeable with our client.

In those instances, Estate Transition Services LLC will offer for client consideration options from our robust list of service professionals - our referral partners.
​
Estate Transition Services LLC operates in this case as a type of "general contractor", and are available to make calls, meet on site with service professionals, collect for presentation to the client all available options, help facilitate the contracting of the work, and remain on site while the work is being performed.
​
Estate Transition Services LLC does not and cannot guarantee work done by any of our referral partners, however, as part of our commitment to our client, we do check references, review past work, and request copies of identification, including all professional licenses and other credentials. Additionally, Estate Transition Services LLC does not and cannot guarantee payment for work done by any of our referral partners, however, as part of our commitment to our valued referral partners, we will do our best to ensure prompt attention to the nature of and needs to complete the work, and full payment upon successful completion of the work.

If there is a need for which we have no referral partnership, we will do the legwork to find and present for consideration as many options as requested.
​
We work with clients primarily in Illinois and Missouri but are available to travel to other states or countries as may be needed.

Estate Transition Services LLC does not offer legal advice but can provide names of licensed attorneys in Illinois, Missouri and beyond. ​
